CD Mastering

Dogwood Recording offers high quality digital editing and mastering at  truly affordable rates.  After your project has been mixed, a master must be made for either small quantity demo duplication or large quantity CD manufacturing.  The editing process consists of sequencing, (order of songs) pacing, (spacing between songs) cueing, (ensuring digital black until song starts) fade ins, fade outs and crossfades.

    The mastering process involves EQ enhancements, compression, and level maximizing.  This is the phase where your audio is sweetened and given continuity from beginning to end.  Custom mastering is sometimes required and includes complicated moves such as cutting and pasting of song arrangement, inserting special effects etc.  Finally, a master CD-R is burned and small quantities can be duplicated for immediate listening by the artists or any record industry contacts.
