MIXING
Ron Benner has been mixing music in the Atlanta area for over 25 years. Working for rock bands, R&B acts, rappers, jazz, gospel and country, he has a musical approach to this art form. “I think of mixing as another chance to contribute to the energy and animation of the song”. He routinely finds ways to improve various elements of the mix such as graphically hand tuning vocals only where needed, building better drum sounds and working with instrument tracks to add a sense of depth and space.
Equipment wise, his overall approach to the mix combines use of only the finest analog outboard gear with the latest in DAW technology. “Keeping the client involved is very important to me because you can give them what they want more often by not just living in your own little world.” Ron will work on a mix until he feels it is right then submit them to the client for any changes needed to satisfy. This insures both his contribution and the client’s complete confidence that the most was made out of each song mixed by Ron Benner.
